Neem a deep confirmed, medium- sized, generally evergreen tree, Azadirachta indica of the family Meliaceae. typically it attains a height of 15- 20 m with a periphery of 60- 80 cm. Generally it branches beforehand, forming a large, fairly thick and rounded crown of bright green leafage with emulsion rough leaves. Though it’s generally evergreen, yet it becomes evanescent in drier regions. Flowers are small, sweet and scented. Fruits are small and one planted. Dinghy is relatively thick, furrowed, dark slate outside and sanguine brown inside. The heartwood is red, hard and durable. Neem is an indigenous tree species of Bangladesh and is set up in cornucopia in the Barind Tracts of the country. It’s planted each over the country, more especially in the drier part. It’s also the native species of dry timber areas of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Myanmar. This is a most precious planty tree.
